In a continued effort to nurture and empower the next generation, The Vineyard Christian CBO, in partnership with The Hope Venture, recently organized an impactful educational and community-building outdoor excursion for college and university students to Nairobi National Park and the Nairobi Safari Walk.
The day-long event was designed to offer students a vital mental health break from their rigorous academic schedules, fostering deep peer-to-peer connection and reflection in a serene, natural environment.
As the main organizer of this excursion, The Hope Venture played a critical role in bringing this initiative to life, reflecting our shared commitment to investing in the holistic well-being, growth, and resilience of campus-going youth.
Connecting Youth to Conservation and Community
The excursion kicked off early in the morning with an extensive game drive across the golden savannah plains of Nairobi National Park. For many of the students, watching herds of wildlife roam peacefully against the distant backdrop of the city skyline was a powerful experience that highlighted the beauty of creation and the vital importance of environmental stewardship.
Following the open-range game drive, the students moved to the Nairobi Safari Walk. Walking along the raised wooden boardwalks, the participants were able to closely study Kenya's rich ecosystems, transitioning seamlessly from cool wetlands to dense forest habitats.
