These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the websites and online services operated by The Vineyard Christian Community Based Organization (“Vineyard,” “we,” “us”), including thevineyardcbo.org and related pages. By accessing or using our site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. This page is informational and is not legal advice.

- Access Vineyard SMS if you are an authorised staff user

3. Content and intellectual property
Text, branding, logos, photographs, graphics, and other materials on this site are owned by Vineyard or used with permission. You may share links to our public pages and quote short excerpts for non-commercial purposes with clear attribution. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute substantial content, images, or trademarks without our prior written consent.
Programme photographs and stories are shared carefully. Do not download or redistribute images of children or community members for commercial use, fundraising under another name, or any purpose that could identify or put a child at risk.
4. Children and sponsorship
To protect privacy, our public site does not offer browsable individual child profiles for sponsorship. Sponsorship interest is handled through contact with our team. Matching and programme details are managed privately by authorised staff. See our sponsorship overview and Privacy Policy.
Expressing interest online does not create a sponsorship contract, payment obligation, or guarantee of a particular child match until confirmed separately in writing by Vineyard (or an authorised partner).
5. Donations, volunteering, and enquiries
- Donations: Payment methods and banking details are provided through official Vineyard channels. We are not responsible for funds sent to unofficial accounts or third parties claiming to represent us. See our Donations Policy.
- Volunteer applications: Submitting a form is an expression of interest, not an offer of placement. We may decline applications without obligation to state reasons where safeguarding or capacity requires it.
- Contact messages: We will try to respond in a reasonable time but do not guarantee a reply to every message.
- Newsletter: You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails.
6. Vineyard SMS (staff access)
The admin Student Management System is for authorised users only. Accounts are personal and must not be shared. Users must keep credentials confidential, use the system only for legitimate programme work, and follow Vineyard’s safeguarding and data-handling practices. We may suspend access at any time for security or policy reasons.
7. Third-party links and partners
Our site may link to maps, partner organisations, or other external sites. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices. Vineyard is not responsible for their content or services.
8. Disclaimer
We aim to keep information accurate and the site available, but content is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Programme descriptions, impact figures, and opportunities may change. Temporary outages, errors, or incomplete information may occur.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, Vineyard and its directors, staff, and volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) this website, including reliance on site content or third-party links. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Privacy, data protection, and safeguarding
How we collect and use personal information is described in our Privacy Policy and Data Protection Policy. Our commitment to protecting children is set out in our Child Safeguarding Policy. Photos, video, and stories are covered by our Photography & Media Consent Policy. These form part of how we operate this site alongside these Terms.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Courts in Kenya have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the site, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.
